How To Use Ratchet Straps With Hooks

Step 1: Find the Best Ratchet Straps
Use the Proper Ratchet Straps with Hooks After all, before you even start to use your ratchet straps with hooks, have them and properly applied to a load! There are a variety of straps available from XIANGLE, ranging from single to double hooks. They even come in different lengths and have weight capacities. Just remember to get the right straps for whatever you have on board. This will provide a clearer idea of how many straps you need to fasten everything. So always remember to use straps that can carry the weight of your items securely.
Step 2: Secure the Hooks
When you have the right straps and Ratchet Strap, then your next move is to attach the hooks. You will want to start by putting the hooks onto your vehicle's tie-down points. These typically anchor spots are known as tie-down points and can hold things in place which is where they really come into their own. As you drive they should not come off since the hooks needs to be tightly secured. Ensure your load is secured to strong tie-down points. A load that isn't held securely with proper hooks could slip and cause a dangerous situation.
Step 3: Thread the Strap
Now you have to thread the whole strap into the ratchet mechanism. This is an important step! Ensure that the strap is not twisted and is flat. The strap needs to be twisted or it wont function properly. Note: Make sure the ratchet part is facing the load to lock in tension correctly.
Step 4: Tighten the Strap
Then, come the strap up. Ratche tHandle to Tighten the Strap and Tow Straps Against a Load It should be tight but not overly tight, meaning it fits snug. You wish to be certain it is uniform across the load which means that everything is balanced. Thread this through your straps, and do the same for each strap you are using until everything is attached down. This step is important because it prevents your items from shifting while in transit.
Step 5: Release the Strap
After your done transporting and ready to unbuckle the straps, its quick too! You literally have to raise the ratchet handle and pull the release lever. Do it cautiously, and release the straps from those which are with the load first. It can prevent things from moving suddenly. When everything is unhooked, put away the straps for next time. Managing it properly will help in finding them when you have to shift something again.
